I have a relative that served in the 42nd Infantry last reported in the General Hospital at Meridan Miss.Apr 30, 1863. His name William A Miller from Montgomery County GA. Received pay Jan. 12, 1864. No further record. Is there any information I can look into for him to further my family records? I am at a dead end. Sherman took over Meridan around this time period and don't know where to look for him after this. Thank you
