Georgia 24, Company K

My g-g-grandfather, William W. Sosebee (Sosebee Cove, Union County, GA.) fought with Georgia 24, Company K from August 1862 until his death, May 14, in the Battle of the Wilderness, Spottsylvania County, Virginia. He received a shoulder wound on May 6, 1864 and died from tetnus 8 days later. I have been to the battle site, the field hospital site (Parker's Store) and the Spottsylvania Confederate Cemetery. I found no grave. Does anyone know of any other possible burial site for Confederate soldiers we lost at the Wilderness?
I fail to see how someone with a shoulder wound and who lived for 8 days, most of the time conscious, could possibly be unidentified. Thoughts, anyone?
I would also appreciate information on Georgia 24, Company K, including wounded lists at the Wilderness.
Many, many thanks.
