Thanks Alan,
If the photo you sent is of Confederate dead near Spotsylvania Court House from mid May, 1864 and considering that my ancestor died on May 18 at Parker's store general hospital, I have to think that he could even have been in the photo. I know he was buried on the Parker's store premises and later moved.
