He is buried in the Cedar Hill Vicksburg City Cemetery in the Confederate Rest section.

Vicksburg records record note that he died June 1, 1863 and is listed on page 34 of the UDC Record Book in the Vicksburg Old Court House Museum.

These known dead were provided with VA provided tombstones back in the late 1970s. Known grave sites were long lost and tombstones are arranged by state.

His service record file note that he enlisted in Co. F of the 36st Georgia on April 10, 1862 and received a $50 bounty. They state he died on the date that Allen provided.

In the Vicksburg Military Battlefield Park, the Park Historian's office may have in their files, records of the 36th which may hold some individual soldier's diaries which may hopefully contain information on Pvt. Donahoo.
