Thomas B. Gorman enlisted in Capt. Little's Company, Hood's Battalion, Georgia Cavalry, July 29, 1863 by Col. Holt., this company subsequently was designated Co. E, 29th Georgia Cavalry Battalion.

He was reduced to ranks from Corporal "by request" November 20, 1863.

He was recorded on August 31, 1864 as "Absent without horse since 15 May, Absent Sick.

He was also recorded as a patient at Ocmulgee Hospital, Macon, Georgia from August 11, 1864 to October 6, 1864. Residence Macon, Ga.

There is no notation of age in his file.

Also in Co. E enlisting at the same time was Pvt. James M. Gorman, last recorded on the Sept/Oct. 1864 muster as "Absent on detail to remount."
