The information posted above by G. Martin is what I have. He lost a finger on the left hand due to the injury mentioned in the records.

I think my cousin must have got off track on the other EC Jackson and mis-read the information somehow.

Evans C. Jackson was my Great Grandfather. Family members say his real name was Evans Calloway Jackson, but he called himself Calvin.
