Sheila, I will be in Bainbridge in October and if you don't have his grave by then I think I'll be able to find it.

As near as I remember he was living with his daughter at the time of his death correct? For whatever reason newspapers in Decatur County did NOT do a good job when someone died in the 1890's.

There was also a prominent American Revoluntionary soldier named Wade Hampton from SC, NO doubt whom he was named after.

The Colonel of the 29th Cav. Bn of Georgia was Arthur Hood who after the War was one the presidents of Andrew College in Cuthbert, GA.
