An ancestor of mine, Jesse Putman Ayers was a private in Ga 12th Cavalry Capt IW Avery's Squadron. He was injured in the spring of 1863 near Maryville/Louden Tenn. The disablility claims made almost 30 years later have some discrepancies. He may have been injured twice that spring.
