In Response To: 12th Ga Cavalry - Louden Tenn ()

There may not be much information available for my question above. Thanks for all the views and interest.
I plan to visit the Louden Tenn. area and see what sites (if any) have been preserved or noted by historical markers.

The service card images I have show that JP Ayers transferred from 12th Cavalry to Whites Battery in August of 1863 after his injuries.

The link below in to a site where there is a compiled record of pension applications made by my ancestor Jesse Putman Ayers. His last application was in early 1903 just before he died.
Interesting reading if you want to take the time.
