Usually the date and location of enlistment and also who enlisted them is included. Many times the date they enlisted into a local unit is included and later the date their unit mustered into Confederate service is shown. Sometimes their age is given, but not always. Lillian Henderson's info is excellent, but is not always 100% accurate. I have found info in the compiled service records that is not in her rosters. I would say that you can probably find your man's age, occupation, state of birth and his parents in the U.S. census records. Good Luck!
