Hello Everybody! My great grandfather, James Warren Gates, had two uncles, Capt Seth Heny Gates and Lt Henry Clay Gates, in Co.K of the 59th Ga.
Capt Seth Heny Clay Gates took a Minnie ball in the shoulder at Spotsylvania (survived) and Lt Henry Clay Gates was hit in the foot during the charge of Fort Saunders. Henry Clay servrd first in the 11th Ga.
