Re: Hospital records at Kingston, GA

Mr. Hodges

I realize you specialize in the 39th but do you have any information on the 38th, Company I, known as the Dawson County Farmers?

I have been unable to locate the burial place of a man that I believe is my GGGrandfather. HIs name is Elias Dupree (Dufrees on his muster roll records). He was wounded at Second Manassas on 28 August 1862 and died from his wounds(according to muster roll records)on 27 October 1862. I have his widow's pension papers and the place of death differs from year to year.

Any information that you can share with me would be deeply appreciated.

Sincerely

Helen Dalton
