A few words on Rodes and his approach from Biglerville --

General Rodes turned his forces left at the Middletown “Square” and started for Gettysburg, and moved to the right at the top of Keckler’s Hill, to follow the Ridge Road, and came out of the woods at Oak Hill (now the Peace Light Site), and attacked the extreme right flank of the Union Forces which were then just reaching that area.
