Re: Battle of Utoy Creek-Individual reports memoir

Hello Major and thank you for your service to our country. There is a book written by a former Confederate prisoner who was captured at Utoy Creek if my memory serves me correct. The author mispelled Utoy Creek but later corrected himself. The soldier and author served in the 16/25 Louisiana Infantry. The author mentions some rather specific details in the battle such as when Sgt. Thomas J. Stephens and others of his company were captued and how. I'm having a senior moment and cannot remember the name of the book at this time. However, it was one of two books written by former Confederates about their experiences at the Camp Chase Prison. Perhaps one of our readers will remember the title of the book? I want to say it was published in the 1890's.
