Thanks, not sure if same one, data I have is for a George T. Smith, enlisted April 30, 1861 [but site also mentions that date of June 26 has also been used. It says he enlisted as a pvt. in Co B, 18th Georgia Infantry but transfered to 3rd Batt, Co A on June 8, 1863, rest of data agrees? Guess I need to try and get a copy of his Service Record. Reason for checking is I think that he might be my G-G-Grandfather, but still trying to tie up loose ends. Thanks again.
