Then there is a photo of Levy.

"John Henry Levy, who saw Civil War services as a soldier in the Confederate army, passed away Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Leroy H. Rose, 729 Oakwood avenue. He was 89 years of age.

He was born in Raleigh, N.C., and lived there at the outbreak of the Civil War. After coming to Columbus he was clerk at the Pennsylvania Railroad Co. freight office for 32 years. He was a member of the United Confederate Veterans association."

And this found online: Source "The Georgia Enterprise dated August 1, 1889"

" After an absence of 24 years, Mr. John H. Levy, of Columbus, Ohio, is visiting his brother, Capt. J.M. Levy, of this city. He is a genial jovial gentleman, and all of us are glad to see him once more."

And another obitz from the Columbus Dispatch also dated December 3, 1923., page 14

I was NOT 100% sure this was the same former soldier however a few hours ago while looking in some 1890's papers I ran across a sentence that read: John Henry Levy former Confederate with Company H of the 3rd Georgia Infantry. Mr. Levy has a nice tombstone and will receive a small Confederate Battle Flag every June per the SCV Camp in Columbus, Ohio.
