I am currently collecting information on Bates Division of Hardee's Army Corps, Confederate Army of Tennessee. I am interested in soldiers personal anticdotes and information related to the siege of Atlanta and the Battle of Utoy Creek Aug 1-7, 1864. I have collected quite a bit of information over the years and would be delighted to share information and see if anyone has any unpublished information of interest. Bates Division was made up of the famous ''Kentucky Orphan Brigade'', Bates or Tylers Tennessee Brigade, H.R. Jackson's Georgia Brigade and Finley's Florida Brigade.
