hello, my 4th great grandfather served in the 8th ga company -h- cav, he was born and raised in wayne co nc which is were he enlisted in ga cav.what i didn't know and iam sure if iam reading it right i saw an articile the other day that some confed states offerd signing bounty to sign with there state. i had never heard of this practice is there anybody here who knows were i can learn more about this?thank you
