Elected Captain of Company A, 8th Regiment State Guards Infantry July 7, 1863. Mustered out February 1864. Appointed Commissary Sergeant of the 64th Infantry Regiment February 4, 1864. Captured Sailor's Creek, Virginia April 6, 1865. Released Newport News, Virginia June 14, 1865. Born February 16, 1823. Died April 5, 1880. Buried Evergreen Cemetery, Perry, Houston County.

Killen, Thomas M.: 4th Corporal. Date of enlistment shown as March 18, 1861. Regiment mustered out of service March 11, 1862; official date of muster out shown as March 18, 1862. Appointed 1st Sergeant of Company A, 8th Regiment State Guards Infantry July 7, 1863. Mustered out February 1864. Appointed 1st Sergeant of Company G, 8th Regiment Georgia, Militia June 1864. Surrendered May 1865. Born September 19, 1837. Died April 14, 1902. Buried Evergreen Cemetery, Perry, Houston County.
