M L. Wallace

Residence Cherokee County GA;
Enlisted on 4/5/1862 as a Private.
On 4/5/1862 he mustered into "E" Co. GA 36th Infantry
* Received pay 6/1/1862 (place not stated)

His service record file consists of mainly affidavits regarding claims for his effects. These are rather difficult to read on-line, however, I believe he died
November 8, 1862, could be December.

In early November the regiment returned to East Tennessee from Bragg's Kentucky campaign. His division was originally ordered to camp between Blaine's Cross-Roads and Knoxville. Later in December, they were ordered to Readyville, Tenn., some 12 miles East of Murfreesborough.

You should obtain his records through the service noted above for hard copies which should more readable.
