I was doing some research on my family when I came across you post. I have a book on the 61st Georgia Infantry, (A Soldier's Story of His Regiment by Pvt G. W. Nichols) I looked for information on your GGGranddad and found he was in Company K, he went through the war without a wound; commanded the regiment six months. I know you have other information but I hope this helps you some.
