Janie: I was looking thru the query's and saw your topic. My g-grandfather, William Calvin Odum, was in the 6th. ga. infantry, co. H and he enlisted on june 10, 1861. His co. was called the baker co. fire-eaters, which was also colquitts brigade. His regiment fought at antietam, md. on sept. 17,1862. He was wounded and lost his right arm, 4" below the shoulder. I am quite sure co. B and co. H were together on there way north to fight. I researched my g-grandfather quite thouroughly. I have his original photo taken at his enlistment and lots of official paperwork about him during the war. You can see his photo on the baker co. web site under my name. I would like to hear from you about your g-g-uncle. I live in PA. but my mother was originally from Macon, GA. Thanks, Bill
