Interdiction of Arms for Gen. Pike

While doing some work on a history of the 31st Louisiana Regiment, I came across an incident that might be of interest to I.T. researchers --

In August 1862, the 31st Louisiana Regiment went to Milliken's Bend, Louisiana, to unload a shipment of arms intended for General Pike's Indian troops. On August 18, a Union gunboat steamed up and captured the transport "Fair Play", with all the weapons still on board. I figure this incident probably had some effect on Confederate operations in the Indian Territory, and might tie in with some research one of you may be doing. Let me know if you want more details, casualty reports, etc.
