Pvt James J Womble who served with 28th inf ( Grays ) company d out of Monroe Louisiana, died on way home from CIVIL WAR from pneumonia after a bout with the measels,. Last message from him was he was in Indian territory and on his way home but he was sick. Friend notified family he had died but did not know location. Have searched everywhere with no information. Civil war papers do not tell anything. If anyone knows of a grave in that area that is identifiable as Womble I would be eternally grateful for the information.
