My name is Margie Olson. My maiden name was Ammons. My father's family came from western part of North Carolina. I am researching his family. I have a great, great grandfather named Joseph Clark who fought in the civil war.He was married to Elizabeth Stiwinter. Her father's name was George Stiwinter and her mother's maiden name was Nancy Watts. I have; always; been told that me great, great, great grandmother was the daughter of a Cherokee Chief. My father was told as a child that he was a descendent of a Cherokee Chief. I have yet to check the census records to verify this in reference to my great grandmother since they just started listed verification of
