I assume you already know of the 21 (?) buried east of the Atoka Confederate Museum which is on the east side of US-69 on the north outskirts of Atoka. As I recall, they died from an outbreak of cholera -- but there was also a smallpox epidemic near there. These men were from an Arkansas unit, en route to Fort Towson and Boggy Depot.
