My Gr., Gr., Grandfather, Charles H. Davis, (Cherokee and white)fought as a Union soldier during the Civil War. He was mustered out at Fort Gibson and became a teacher in the Mvscogee Nation (Tullahassee Mission and as far away as Wewoka in the Seminole Nation). He married Emmeline Jefferson. Children; George Davis, Mattie Davis and Charles H. Davis. He died 1882. He was reportedly the first cousin of wealthy Creek Cattle Rancher, Bluford Miller. Cannot find him on any rolls.
