Texans in Indian Territory battles
In Response To: battle sites worth visiting? ()

Kim Allen,

Robert Negelein is correct. ..Most of the Confederates in the first few battles in northeast Indian Territory were from Texas and most of those Texans were first in militias. ..Volume II of my book addresses 225 militias of 34 counties of North Texas during the Civil War era.

What are the names of your Texas ancestors who participated in the Civil War?
