B. 1835 in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana to John Calhoun ALLEN and Mary Ann HOLCOMBE. He married Elizabeth Jane PERKINS about 1860 in Angelina County, Texas.
He died Jan 1869 or March 1870 in Angelina County, Texas.

We will be visiting Bartlesville this summer, my family really isn't as emotionally tied to the civil war as I am.So they probably would not like to drive 40 miles to see a little site markerand a few paragraphs of a skrimish.
Oh well, I thought I might be able to bait them, in the hoping we could go East to the bigger and more famous sites.
DH does love stats on WWII though.
