Re: battle sites worth visiting?

I have to agree with Bill O'Brien, of Jenks, that the Caving
Banks battlefield is not where historians have stated it to be. Bill bases his assessment on another creek flowing into Bird Cree (formerly, Bird's Creek) and other terrain features which do not match the currently accepted site. His book on the 1861 campaign explains it better that I ever could, but essentially, the battlefield is actually farther to the north, thus the battlefield is actualy there, if you know where to look.
