Lt. Archilles Garrard Ballinger

Research concerning Lt. Ballinger indicates that he was a medical doctor attached to Company C, 2nd Cherokee Mounted Voluteers, 1st Cherokee Battalion. He participated in the Battle at Elkhorn Tavern, and was killed in action at the Battle of Honey Springs (Depot)on 17 JUL 63. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who may have information concerning this Confederate soldier including his possible burial site.
