The Benton County Historical Society has approved the purchase of a new historical marker to replace the orginal one that was stolen nearly a decade ago. The historical marker will identify the site of the camp, and detail the camp's history. Camp Walker was located 1.5 miles NE of Mayseville, AR. Colonel Stand Watie trained his regiment at this location.
