Re: Livingston's/ Pickler's/ Piercy's Battalion

Here is some information that I have on Livingston. Maj. T.R. Livingston was also known at the time by his indian name of Chin Pagod and was killed on July 11, 1863 in an engagement with the Stockton militia. Livingston with 100 men attacked the militia at Stockton at 1 p.m.
I have several reports of his, one from Diamond Grove, jasper County, mo. dated May 28, 1863. In this report he details a fight at Cabin creek at the house of Captain Martin with a scout of the enemy from Fort Scott. The fight resulted in the killing of 1 and the wounding of 1 of the scouts. He then took shelter in and around the houses. Livingston attempted to drive them out but they were re-enforced by a company of cavalry from Fort Gibson. This is one of 5 engagements known to have occurred at Cabin Creek
