Does anyone know where the Locust Grove battle site is located. I was stationed near Locust Grove back in the early 80's, with the OHP. Seems like I remember hearing that the battle site was a mile west of the historical marker, which is a mile east of the US-412/SH-82 intersection. The Locust Grove Website says the battle occurred on the ridge just southeast of the intersection. A 1968 OHS publication says it happened near Pipe Springs, the location of the historical marker.
