Yes, I have Franks' book in my collection. I also have the reprint of the first edition of Mabel W. Anderson's "Life of Gen. Stand Watie". What makes the latter particularly interesting is that it contains a number of reminiscences (albeit short ones) by the veterans who served under Watie. I was wondering if the second edition might contain more of this material. Otherwise, I would agree that Franks provides the best full biography of Watie, while W. J. Knight's "Red Fox: Stand Watie's Civil War Years in Indian Territory" is by far the best account of his military operations.
