Re: Roswell W. Lee
In Response To: Roswell W. Lee ()

Thanks so much for the information and for looking it up for us! Roswell Lee's Battery is sometimes found as "Roswell Battery" in postwar sources. We learned that John T. Humphreys, an Arkansas artilleryman became Captain to succeed Lee. The lieutenants were 1st Henry Forrester, 1st Lt. J.W. Gregg, 2nd Lt. William Taylor, and Jr. 2nd Lt. Riley Wise Lindsey. We believe it consisted of detailed men fro Texas and other regiments, but know nothing of its originial organization. Thanks again.
