Thank you for your response. My research continues concerning Lt. Ballinger. With the exception of family letters, I cannot find any documentation that provides evidence to sustain the belief that Lt. Ballinger was a medical doctor serving in Brig. Gen. Cooper's command. If I do locate documentation I will forward same to you.
