Thanks for looking out for me. I got the information on Chapman's death from one of his collateral descendants, who has unfortunately now passed away. I will go into my endnotes and get the citation that I have for him -- it is probably very cryptic. Whatever you can unearth for me would certainly be appreciated.

I have a couple of other men of the Hampton Legion who ended up in northern Texas. I will get their names out of my files and ask if you can provide any information on them.

You live in a wonderful section of our country. One of my dearest firends was from Throckmorton County, Texas, not too far away.
