Camp Pike

Watie and Gano met at Camp Pike, Choctaw Nation, on the Canadian just northeast of present Whitefield and across the river southeast from Tom Starr's place and due south of Briartown.

They left Camp Pike of the 14th and marched to Prairie Springs, Cherokee Nation, now Brushy Springs southeast of Muskogee at Brushy Mountain (the toll gate on the Muskogee Turnpike south of Muskogee is on Brushy Mountain).

On the 15th, they crossed the Arkansas near the Creek Agency (northwest of Muskogee near Fern Mountain and near where US Hwy 69 crosses the Arkansas) and camped at Camp Pleasant, Creek Nation, on the north side of the Arkansas and west of the Verdigris.
