That's an excellent story, but just for the sake of accuracy the 14th Georgia Infantry's first battles were in what is today West Virginia at Gauley's Bridge and Carnifex Ferry. The 14th Georgia was not at the battle of 1st Manassas. The 14th Georgia was engaged at Fair Oaks and Seven Pines, prior to Mechanicsville; however, Mechanicsville was the only battle of the Seven Days Campaign, in which the 14th fought. Robert Folsom was killed May 6th, 1864, at the battle of the Wilderness, not Chancellorsville.

Sorry for being "picky" but some folks take the postings here as absolute fact and even source our postings.
