I respectfully disagree with the Civil War Preservation Trust in Washington, D.C.. I beleive they have been misinformed by information they got from persons in Oklahoma, probably OHS, which came from person relying on inaccurate information.

I have provided about 12 pages of Official Reports, by both Union and Confederate officiers, that would not lead anyone to believe the battle was in the vicinity of Atoka.

Not one post has provided any such primariy documentation to contradict or reconcile with those reports.

While the CWPT is generally reliable as is OHS, they can make mistakes. Once those mistakes are made and public, I expect they are adverse to consider credible evidence to the contrary.
