What is Col John Jumper's company? Do you mean the Seminole Battalion?

"Was it given the name Camp Kansas for no other reason than because it was on the Texas Road to Fort Scott Kansas?"

Again, what is the source of the name "Camp Kansas"? I assumed Phillips was referring to his own camp on the battlefield the night of the battle, calling it "Camp Kansas" because he and Willett's Battalion were Kansans.
