I have written a book that covers the second battle of cabin creek, I also have some primary source documents on the first battle. On a trip to the nation archeives they allowed me to photo copy the Muster rolls of the 1st Ks. colored infantry and I was able to make that into a good factsimily of what it looked like.

I think it would be interesting to have everyone on this board attend this years battle of cabin creek reenactment and after the battle or before sometime, tour the actual battle site. I could make arrangements to have the owner of the primary site have his artifacts available to view as well.
At this point I plan on attending as a reenactor, and will most likly attend as a member of Howells battery when the second battle is reenacted. I will of course have Howell's flag displayed with the battery that day.
