I am interested if anyone has heard of Una / Yonah / Oona McIntosh. According to an Indian Pioneer Interview of Scott Waldo McIntosh, Una was the brother of Colonel McIntosh and fought in the Union Infantry and died at the battle of Honey Springs.

Colonel William Phillips reports on his march into Indian Territory. "After heavy marching, day and night, I have reached this point [Little Rivertown, Creek Nation], 105 miles from Fort Gibson....I sent a force up the Canadian to the Seminole country to sweep north to the Arkansas…; Major Foreman with another up Little River to pursue the same course....We have left behind us copies of the President's proclamation in the Indian languages." Phillips informs General Curtis that: "I shall sweep out the upper Seminole country as I return. I shall leave no subsistence for a rebel army, or forage, so that all its supplies must come from Red River in any movement toward the Arkansas, the stretch being 180 miles. The rebel Indians are entirely disheartened and discouraged." Phillips leaves notices for Colonel Una McIntosh and Governor Colbert of the Chickasaw Nation, and John Jumper, Chief of the Seminoles. Phillips continues, "The expedition has been more eminently successful than any ever undertaken in the Indian country. So far as the rebel Creek, Seminole, and Chickasaw Nations are concerned the war is over. They have been destroyed or driven from their country. Those who are not seeking peace are fleeing to Mexico."
