From my Colbert files,I show a brother of "Winchester" Colbert as being Andrew Colbert.
That maybe the same as shown on the 1860 Tishomingo slave census. Andrew Colbert 12 thru 23 total 13 slaves? that maybe the same place the mill is? I think it was a Grist mill most likely? I,ve I.D. other Colbert in other county's(Districts) also. Pickens:Joesph Colbert 8 thru 11-- 4 slaves s/o James
(they are cousin to "Winchester")
Samuel Colbert: (12 thru 27) 15 slaves both are brothers
Kemp: both of Panola Dist: Jackson and Joel are brothers and Joel Kemp married sister of "Winchester" also he married his sister Annica.
So two brother's and sister's married common at that time, the Kemp's and Colbert are two of the oldest Chickasaw families, and based on the age of "Winchester's" first born son (George)being 1836 he married Annica Kemp before coming to I.T in 1837.I also think that (Pontotic 1860 census)Jincy is related to him she married a unknown Harris> (Vincy his Dau)-(Jincy his sister)??--likely-- Cyrus Harris (Son?)
