Before I was at an age where I was really interested, I had heard that my great grandfather on my grandmother's side, had been a high ranking officer in the Civil War. My grandmother's maiden name had been Nancy Knight, so his last name should also be Knight. My father was named Arlin Jones, and always said that he had Indian blood in him. Also, there was some sort of tie-in with Arlington, Virginia, as his ( and my ) first name was taken from the first five letters of Arlington. I realize that this is really sketchie, but can anyone shed any light on this?
