I'll not dispute it, but I read that because the "old settlers" were disowned because they accepted the deal given the Cherokee tribe around 1815 to 1817.
Now I never agreed that any Tribe can/could disown blood,seemed unfair to me, but there are alot of us who can't prove our blood because our families aren't on the Dawes rolls.
