Looking southwest from what is believed to be the southern line of entrenchments during the Civil War.

On the horizon to the right of the tree in the foreground you can see the OG&E Plant on the Arkansas River. The Rabbit Ford was near there and across the river was Frozen Rock. To the right of the cars parked in the right of the photo was the old landing, ferry, and ford (when the Grand River was low enough). If you squint just right, you can see a little of the Grand through the trees.

The old stockade (reconstructed by a WPA project) is down the hill past the reenactors' camps.
