The Canadian River is the southern boundary of the Cherokee Nation from the mouth of the North Fork of the Canadian (i.e., North Canadian) to the Arkansas, below Webbers Falls. The south side of the Canadian is the Choctaw Nation.

Above the mouth of the North Canadian the Canadian (now usually called South Canadian) is the Creek-Choctaw Boundary and Creek-Chickasaw Boundary.

Where/when/what is this reference to free Blacks and runaway slaves? Is this related to Opothleyahola's band?
