Hey gang,

Just a note to let you know the Civil War Preservation Trust Conference is coming to Springfield, Missouri in April 2008. I attended the CWPT conference in Portsmouth last month and had a great time.

Tours will include, Pea Ridge, Wilson's Creek, Mine Creek and others. Confirmed historians include Ed Bearss, William Shea, David Hinze, Connie Langum and the group's own Ralph Jones from the Honey Springs Battlefield Park.

I would encourage each and every one of you to join the Civil War Preservation Trust. They are making a difference at saving endangered battlefield land. We especially need to make an effort to save battle sites in the Trans-Mississippi, like Cabin Creek, before they are gone.
